Lunar has kept the styling simple but modern and its light-coloured wood and fabrics give a bright, airy feel. The locker doors feel solid and feature removable shelving. Although the lounge seats’ backrests are a little stiff, the bases are comfortable and now include aluminium spring-loaded bases for easy access to the storage and switchgear beneath.

There are two bolster cushions per bench, and 230V and TV aerial sockets. A radio/CD/MP3 player is located in a front overhead locker. Below is the central chest, which has two drawers and a pull-out table extension.

Sleeping

The nearside, 1.91m x 1.35m fixed bed is large and comfortable, thanks to a new luxury spring mattress. The area is well lit, with a large Heki rooflight and window letting in daylight and two corner spots for the night.

The front double, which at 2.01m x 1.53m is also large, is assembled using slats pulled from below the centre chest. The slats are on runners and the lounge cushions are a great fit, making the whole process quick and easy. The two sleeping areas can be separated using the fabric divider.

Lunar Quasar 534, single axis, 4 berth, 2011, 2 previous owners, motor mover, hitch lock, wheel clamp, CRIS security VIN security chip plus and lots of extras: calor gas cylinder, electric hook up cable, waste water hose, fresh water hose, aqua roll fresh water container, waste water container with wheels, sun canopy (porch awning), new Kampa Dometic Continental carpet (Rpp £75), kitchen utensils and cutlery. It has a fixed end bed layout and the conventional front sofa conversion to double bed. Fully serviced in 2019.

Bought it in August 2019 from a couple who had it for 8 years and kept it as new (no kids, no pets, not smoking, mostly eating out and using the toilets on site). The first couple who bought it new sold it after one use to buy a motorhome. Unfortunately due to living in central London and having to store it in a remote secure storage, we lose so much time to pick it up and bring it back (only allowed during daylight in the CASS secured site) that we have decided to sell it and buy a campervan which can be parked in front of our flat.
